This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, motivated designer who thrives in projects that range from production homes to custom home design and enjoys working directly with builders and homeowners.You’ll be involved in every stage of the residential design process, from concept to refined plans, while collaborating with a talented, dynamic team in a fast-paced yet supportive environment.What You’ll DoDesign thoughtful, functional residential floor plans and exterior elevationsDevelop site plans, 3D models, and presentation-quality drawings (C.D.’s not required)Work directly with homeowners, builders, contractors, and engineersInterpret and incorporate client feedback, redlines, and regulatory commentsCoordinate with drafting staff to ensure design intent is accurately communicatedManage projects and maintain clear, professional communicationApply creative problem-solving to reconcile design challengesRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong verbal, written, and graphic communication skillsProficiency in CAD drafting software (required)Solid understanding of residential floor plans, exterior elements, and roof designKnowledge of IRC codes and residential building systemsAbility to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and solution-focusedExperience & Education6+ years of job-related work experience in residential design requiredDegree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Drafting, or Interior Design (2-4-year)Proven experience leading client meetings and guiding full home designsBenefitsPay Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually (DOE, paid hourly)Medical Insurance with Health Savings Account (HSA)401(k) retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off, including vacation, holidays, and sick leaveProfessional development and growth supportWhy This Role Stands OutIf you’re a residential designer who wants more than repetitive drafting, this role was created for you.
