PeopleSoft Accessibility Consultant - Remote Contract
About the CompanyWe are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Accessibility Consultant to assess, remediate, and enhance the accessibility compliance of PeopleSoft applications and related user interfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PeopleSoft technologies, accessibility standards, and assistive technologies, ensuring that enterprise applications meet ADA, Section 508, and WCAG compliance requirements.About the RoleWe are looking for a PeopleSoft Accessibility Consultant to work remotely (can work from anywhere in USA) on a contract basis for 40 hours per week over a duration of 8-9 months. The working hours are from 8-5 Pacific Time Zone.ResponsibilitiesConduct accessibility audits and assessments of PeopleSoft applications, including Fluid and Classic pages.Evaluate PeopleSoft user interfaces against WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and ADA accessibility requirements.Identify accessibility barriers and recommend remediation solutions.Collaborate with functional and technical teams to design and implement accessibility improvements.Perform accessibility testing using automated and manual testing tools.Test applications using assistive technologies such as screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).Review PeopleCode, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PeopleTools configurations for accessibility compliance.Develop accessibility documentation, reports, and compliance recommendations.Provide guidance and training to development and business teams on accessibility best practices.Support accessibility initiatives during upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations.Validate remediation efforts and conduct regression accessibility testing. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.5+ years of PeopleSoft functional and/or technical experience.3+ years of accessibility testing and remediation experience. Required SkillsStrong knowledge of:WCAG 2.1 AA standardsSection 508 compliance requirementsADA accessibility guidelinesAccessible UI/UX design principlesExperience with PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface and PeopleTools.Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools such as:AxeWAVEAccessibility InsightsJAWSNVDAExperience reviewing and remediating HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PeopleCode components.Strong analytical and documentation skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred SkillsIAAP Certifications (CPACC, WAS, CPWA).Experience with PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, or CRM modules.Experience supporting government, higher education, or public sector environments.Knowledge of Oracle accessibility standards and best practices.Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
