Providescompassionate and comprehensive mental health services in a dynamic and diverse urban settingThe hospital has a psychiatry residency program and maintains a strong academic affiliationExamines patients, orders or performs appropriate diagnostic tests.Formulates diagnosis, directs or preforms appropriate therapeutic treatment and counsels patients.Provides guidance and participates in the teaching of house staff, in staff conferences, and in researchprojects as directed.Advises the less experienced members of the professional medical staff.Plans, organizes and directs the operation of a major segment within a medical service or medicalprogram in a hospital or similar health facility; or assists the Chief of Service in the planning, organizingand directing of the entire medical service or medical program.Assists in the administration and coordination of the service.Assists in the establishment and maintenance of standards of performance for physicians and otherprofessional employees working in the service.Performs other administrative, professional, consultative duties as needed by the Chief of Service.QualificationsMust be board-eligible or board-certified in PsychiatryM.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicineCompleted residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry (not open to graduating residents)NYS LicenseExceptionalBenefitsInclude:Competitive compensation package10% 401K company contribution after one year of service,with 3% company contributionstarting day oneChoice of a threetiered, starting atFREE medical plansstarting day oneExcellent dental insurance including orthodontics coveragestarting day oneGenerous paid time off programCME daysand dollarsEligibility for loan forgiveness through multiple programsVisa candidates are considered including J1 Waiver/HSS Waiver and H1BAnnual Base Salary Range: $236,900 (board eligible) - $247,200 (board certified) plus potential bonuses and earning potential by additional coverage outside the 40 hours per week for full time
