Wax Injection & Assembly
Position SummaryThe Wax Assembler is responsible for producing, assembling, inspecting, and repairing wax patterns in accordance with established production standards, quality requirements, and ISO 9001 procedures. This position supports daily production goals through workstation rotation, equipment operation, inspection activities, and accurate documentation within the Wax Room and Foundry operations.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReport directly to the Wax Room Lead Person or designated backup and follow daily production direction.Maintain acceptable PAR performance across all wax room stations.Rotate workstations regularly to ensure cross-training and operational flexibility.Operate wax injection machines and related equipment, including wax canister changes.Perform and electronically document first piece checks for wax injections (M9-3-1).Interpret and follow manufacturing routing instructions and ISO 9001 work procedures.Visually inspect wax parts, assemblies, and trees to ensure surface and dimensional acceptance.Perform wax repairs for acceptable surface defects during assembly.Straighten distorted components or process non-conforming parts through the NCR system (M11-2-1).Maintain accurate documentation including routing tickets, inspection records, and job queue updates within the EDA Computer System.Manipulate molds to facilitate press setup and removal of wax patterns.Communicate professionally with supervisors and team members.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies.Assist In Other Foundry Departments As Required.Report on the workstation on time for scheduled shifts (6:00 A.M. or 12:00 P.M., unless otherwise approved).Work overtime as required by production needs and approved by the Foundry Supervisor.Qualifications / EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent professional experience.Experience & SkillsAbility to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and inspect using standard tools and gauges.Basic computer data entry skills.Physical RequirementsAbility to frequently bend, lift, and handle materials up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.Manual dexterity is sufficient to handle molds, tools, and wax components.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, machinery, and industrial noise.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a manufacturing foundry environment. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, heated materials, industrial equipment, and varying temperatures.
