Compliance Analyst

Job Title: Compliance AnalystLocation: Oakland, CAType: Full timeOur client is looking for a Compliance Analyst to lead efforts in ensuring strong internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and compliance with SOX requirements.What You’ll DoOversee SOX compliance for key business processes and ensure ICFR is properly designed and documented.Conduct process walkthroughs, update narratives and process maps, perform risk assessments, and test controls.Evaluate control deficiencies, determine potential financial impact, and guide remediation plans.Collaborate with business partners and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate compliance activities.Identify opportunities to streamline and automate control activities within financial processes.Support special projects, including system implementations and process improvement initiatives.What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, auditing, risk management, or process improvement.Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and financial reporting processes.Experience in designing and implementing controls in complex, cross-functional organizations.Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.Preferred:Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).SOX implementation leadership experience.Familiarity with SAP systems.Professional certifications such as CPA or CIA.BenefitsCompetitive salary plus performance based incentives.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) with company match and stock purchase plan.Paid time off, holidays, and flexible hybrid work schedule.Tuition reimbursement and career development programs.
