Data Warehouse Developer - Remote (EST/CST)

Job Title:- Data Warehouse DeveloperDuration:- 3-6 Months Contract (But long term project extension)Location:- Fully Remote (EST/CST)Job Description:-This is a technical position responsible for the development and maintenance of the information reporting systems. Database and resource management to include design, configuration, implementation, and proactive management of the organization’s databases, data vault\warehouse solutions, backup, archiving, systems and monitoring resources.Project involves conversion of legacy data warehouse to a new architecture which includes Data Vault 2.0 and a traditional Data Mart.The data warehouse supports traditional SSRS reporting to government agencies.Required Skills & Experience:6+ years of T-SQL development. Very strong T-SQL skills needed. Experience with advanced T-SQL such as dynamic code generation, recursion, Gaps & Islands desirable.4+ years SSIS required; SSAS experience desired.Strong database and data warehouse modeling experience required.Exposure to Data Vault desired.Experience with Microsoft database projects (dacpac).Experience with DevOps.Experience with Microsoft Access as a front end for SQL Server.Roles & Job Responsibilities:Connect to new data sources. Explore data, model in the data vault and data mart.Configure and/or code data vault and data mart structures.Code complex stored procedures which implement business rules and load Fact tables.Convert complex existing report stored procedures from the legacy warehouse to the new one. Validate results using T-SQL; document all the differences.Troubleshoot code at all levels.Work with the report developers as they adapt to using the new warehouse.Individual will be on a very small team (2-3 persons) and needs to be a self-starter who can quickly get up to speed.
