Manufacturing Engineer III Hagerstown, MD Pay: $51.55Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline, and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience in avionics or aircraft electrical systemsHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceFamiliarity with applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5, particularly as it applies to avionics components and assembliesCapability of working in multi-disciplinary teams, including close collaboration with avionics engineers, technicians, and quality assuranceExperience developing work instructions/travelers specific to avionics assembly, wiring, and system integrationExposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems, with an emphasis on avionics-related product data and processesProficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints for aircraft and avionic systemsHands-on experience with wiring installation, troubleshooting, and repair in avionics and aircraft electrical systemsKnowledge of assembling and installing connectors, wire harnesses, and electronic components typically used in aerospace and avionic applicationsAbility to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Security Clearance Qualifications We Prefer:Direct background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, specifically within avionics integration and modification programsAircraft modification experience with a focus on avionics systems (communications, navigation, flight control, etc.)Participation in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including disposition of non-conformances related to avionics hardware or installationsExperience with new avionics product introduction and transition to production environmentsExperience supporting aircraft modification projects from concept through implementation, including close interaction with shop floor personnel and avionics technicians Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline, and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience in avionics or aircraft electrical systems
