Production Op. (ATP Testing) - Aerospace - June 20

Our client in the Seattle area is a part of a leading design and Manufacturer of Aerospace Products and is looking for an Production Operator for a contract or direct position.Keltia Design Inc. is a technical support services company providing Aerospace Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace industry in WA and CA, and other locations around the US and Canada. We have been in business for nearly 20 years in the US and over 8 years in Europe.Production Operator (ATP Testing) - Aerospace - June 2020Description:Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety rules, including use of all PPE and safety equipment.Routinely prepares batches, follows work instructions, and operates equipment properly, with some supervisionParticipate in the general housekeeping of plant and work areaAttend production start up meetings to receive days assignmentTrain lower level production operatorsRetrieve and stage raw materials and packaging for assigned production runs.Go through start up check list, checking equipment, product assigned to equipment against quality assurance specifications. Pull packages to test the weight and run through lot coding equipment to check that the lot code is correct for standard. Re-verify that the packaging material is correct.Run production on assigned line to achieve planned production run rates within quality specification.As required during the run, review package weights and lot codes.Understand basic monitoring of assigned equipment including start up-shut down & lockout/tag-out procedures.Monitor and report any warning lights promptly. Troubleshoot and make required machine adjustments to bring product back into specification.Work under direction of team leaders and shift managersMaintain proper documentationWork mandatory overtime as required.Maintain proper documentationParticipate and contribute through involvement with teamsDemonstrate a willingness to assist co-workers in areas outside of their direct responsibilityWork mandatory overtime as required.Requirements:High school diploma or GED equivalency, and a minimum of one year as a production operator I; or High school diploma or GED equivalency with a minimum of 2 years of related external experience.Consistently meets or exceeds production goals as production operator ICan perform plant specific requirements for progression.Strong problem solving and process improvement skillsBasic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, percentages, weighing, measuring, and weight conversion.Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written directions.Effective communication, and organizational skillsMust be able to log into a computer, access Company systems, perform basic data entry accurately and learn and use an ERP system.Forklift certificationCertified Fork Lift driverPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with disciplined process improvement toolsAble to use, facility specific, PLC based process control systems used in the manufacturing process.
