We are seeking an energetic Night Lab Processor with exceptional attention to detail to enhance our team.Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE * This position is eligible for night differential pay (10%) * Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM * This position involves working a fast-paced overnight shift * BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts401(K) with discretionary employer matchPaid Time OffFree clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in houseIn This Role, You Will Be Responsible ForSample Processing: Receive and process samples efficiently, ensuring turnaround times; maintain specimen integrity and package samples for referral labs; accurately translate physician orders and diagnoses; verify and manage specimen details and perform data entry; assess specimen adequacy with technical assistance if needed; prepare specimens and perform screening procedures accurately.Communication and Reporting: Respond to colleague inquiries and manage instrumentation alarms; print and distribute reports.Operational Duties: Follow daily checklists and ensure timely task completion; adapt to covering shifts and locations as needed; handle additional duties as assigned.Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance practices; ensure HIPAA compliance and follow Medicare rules for ABNs; monitor the work environment for safety issues.Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service.Reliability: Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.Education & CertificationHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperiencePrevious laboratory processing experience (preferred, but not required)Previous experience working overnight shifts is highly preferredStrong preference for candidates with a consistent employment history and minimal career gapsSkills & CompetenciesHigh attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasksStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficientlyStrict adherence to laboratory protocols and quality control standardsPhysical RequirementsLaboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.OSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.About Us: Interpath Laboratory is a family-owned and operated clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory serving communities across Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, and Idaho.
