Registered NurseWe are looking for: Full-Time Registered Nurse or LPN in Angola, INThe Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities (IDD), ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centered, and high-quality nursing services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and Caregiver policies. The RN promotes health, safety, dignity, and quality of life for clients through care coordination, advocacy, education, and clinical oversight.Essential Nursing Functions:Uphold principles of dignity, respect, and person-centered care in all interactions with individualsProvide clinical oversight to LPN/LVNs and other non-nursing staff as directedDevelop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team membersConduct initial and ongoing nursing assessmentsAdminister medications and treatments per physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) orders and applicable regulationsMonitor and evaluate individuals for changes in health status and intervene accordinglyDelegate and oversee nursing tasks to unlicensed staff and other approved caregivers only when appropriate to scope, and only to those who have been properly trained with demonstrated competencyEnsure proper storage, handling, preparation, and labeling of medicationsMaintain accurate medication inventory and immediately report any discrepanciesProvide health-related training to direct support staff, individuals, and caregiversParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care reviews, and service planningCoordinate with healthcare providers, pharmacies, and other service agencies to ensure continuity of careRespond immediately to emergencies and provide nursing assistanceEnsure a safe environment for individuals, staff, and others and immediately report safety concerns.Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with Caregiver policies and HIPAA requirements.Submit accurate and timely billing documentation, when applicableSupport compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, HHS IDD, etc.).Participate in quality assurance and improvement activitiesProvide telephone triage nursing support for assigned on-call shifts, including after-hours as neededDuties of this job are performing the following:Sitting is 60% of work time.Standing and walking is 20% of work time.Bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, and kneeling is 20% of work time.Grasping and finger/hand manipulation is 50% of work time.Ability to lift to 50 pounds.Ability to operate computer, facsimile, copier, shredder and calculator.An office setting, minimal background noise, standard office lighting, occasional temperature fluctuations are found in the work environment.Normal business hours with flexibility to work overtime or non-standard hours as required by special projects. Travel within assigned region, occasional travel outside of region.
