The brand embodies an effortless yet luxurious aesthetic inspired by the California lifestyle.Position OverviewThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Store Manager based in Seattle, WA. The Store Manager is responsible for leading the store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while achieving strong business results. This role acts as the leader of the store culture, driving sales performance, team development, operational excellence, and brand presentation.The Store Manager creates a positive and inclusive environment where team members are empowered to grow, customers feel welcomed, and the brand comes to life in every interaction.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & CultureBuild and lead a high-performing team that embodies Velvet’s company values and service philosophy.Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and positive store culture.Coach, mentor, and develop team members through ongoing feedback, training, and career development.Lead by example in customer service, professionalism, and brand representation.Inspire the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences every day.Sales & Business PerformanceDrive store performance by achieving and exceeding sales, conversion, and KPI targets.Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly business metrics and take action to improve results.Lead the team in delivering personalized customer experiences and clienteling.Develop and execute sales strategies, promotions, and incentive programs.Partner with Retail Operations and Merchandising teams to provide product feedback and insights from customers.Customer ExperienceEnsure every customer receives an engaging, elevated, and personalized shopping experience.Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.Create an environment that encourages loyalty, repeat visits, and community connection.Ensure brand standards and storytelling are consistently represented in the store.Store OperationsOversee all operational aspects of the store including scheduling, payroll, inventory, and reporting.Manage store expenses and support profit and loss performance.Ensure visual merchandising standards and brand presentation guidelines are consistently executed.Maintain an organized, clean, and safe store environment.Implement loss prevention procedures and inventory controls.Talent DevelopmentRecruit, hire, and onboard top talent aligned with company culture.Provide ongoing coaching and training to develop team capabilities.Conduct performance evaluations, goal-setting discussions, and development planning.Partner with Retail Operations and HR on employee relations, policies, and performance management.Qualifications3+ years of retail leadership or store management experienceStrong leadership, coaching, and team development skillsProven ability to drive sales and achieve performance targetsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPassion for customer service and brand storytellingExperience with POS and retail inventory systemsStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesWork ScheduleFull-time leadership role requiring flexibility including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Typical work week of approximately 45 hours depending on business needs.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and move throughout the store for extended periodsAbility to lift and move merchandise up to 25 poundsAbility to bend, reach, and perform physical retail tasks
