Job Title: Telecom Construction SpecialistLocation: Union, NJPay Range: $33-$36.50Job type and Duration: ContractOur client, a major Telecommunications provider, is looking to hire a Construction Specialist to support their Field Operations team.Summary: Looking for those with Pole Permitting experienceThis is a permit specialist roleMust have experience with pole permits, township, state and county permitsNice to have - if they worked with JCP&L, PPL, Verizon, Frontier, Met-Ed or Peco or has GIS experience but not mandatoryday to day - come into the office, manage permits for specific builds, 100-200 applications at a time, following up, making sure it goes through each step, report to Project Manager to give status on how things are goingUse Excel and Smartsheet, as well as P28-4:30p shift; can be flex between 7a-5p - an 8 hour shift4 days in the office; Fridays at home but that could eventually change to 5 days in office90% in the time in office, maybe have to verify if a pole has been replaced out in the field or go to township to deliver a payment, etc.Responsibilities:Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line Connectivity & Platformss, frame and strand poles, transfer facilities between poles, place Connectivity & Platforms in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and Connectivity & Platforms trailers.Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.Supports Specialists and leadership team with coordination of projects.Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.Reviews, resolves, follows-up customer request and complaints.Monitors performance of construction crew to established goals and objectives.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical, or production staff who perform tasks in the same functionSets priorities for the team. Assigns tasks and checks work at regular intervalsResponsible for ensuring all work performed on the project meets or exceeds Comcast, Local, State or Federal standards and regulations.Primary Responsibilities:Updating the JT or Polaris entry (job docs/maps) QC for path verificationPrimary contractor interface day-to-day in the field and in turn acts as the NGAN liaison with the Regional network TechniciansNew or upgraded power supply in place and operational (in continuity) prior to cut date.Overall responsibility of the quality of the NGAN product: from the contractor building and to the Operations we hand off to
