Position SummaryWe are seeking a Technical Writer with experience in maintenance operations to develop and maintain technical documentation supporting industrial and manufacturing environments. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, review, and update user manuals, guides, preventive maintenance (PM) work orders, and job plans within a CMMS (e.g., Maximo).Validate maintenance instructions against OEM manuals and technical specifications.Ensure accuracy of labor estimates, job steps, and task sequencing.Standardize documentation to align with internal standards and best practices.Produce clear, structured, and user-friendly technical content.Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, engineers, and cross-functional teams.Support document control, configuration management, and data entry activities.Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.Ensure all documentation meets quality, clarity, and compliance standards.Required QualificationsMinimum 3 years of maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.Experience with CMMS platforms (Maximo preferred).Strong technical writing and documentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF tools.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing, bending, and accessing equipment safely.Flexibility to work different shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.Preferred QualificationsTrade certification or associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.Experience with PM program standardization or CMMS enhancements.Knowledge of Lean Maintenance or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).Experience working in maintenance, facilities, or manufacturing environments.Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical teams.Nice-to-Have SkillsFamiliarity with Maximo or similar CMMS toolsUnderstanding of maintenance workflows and job planningExperience with document control and technical reportingAbility to improve and standardize technical documentation
