Overview The Traffic Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of construction sites by managing the flow of traffic around work zones. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate with both construction personnel and the public, ensuring that all safety protocols are adhered to while minimizing disruptions. Duties - Direct and control traffic flow around construction sites to ensure safety for workers and the public. - Set up and maintain traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barriers. - Communicate effectively with construction teams to coordinate site operations and minimize delays. - Maintain clear communication with local authorities regarding road closures and detours. Skills - Strong communication skills to effectively relay information between construction teams and the public. This position is essential for maintaining the safety of the contractor and the public. The person who fills this role will find it challenging and rewarding.
