Material Handler II
Title: Material Handler Location: San Leandro, CA 94577 Duration: 2+ months with possible extensions 1st Shift 6am to 2:30pm M-F. Candidate must be open to overtime and weekend hours occasionallyJob Summary Role Responsibilities. The Manufacturing Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, lifting, stacking, and transporting cases of milk and dairy products throughout the production and warehouse areas. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring products are moved efficiently, work areas remain organized, and safety and quality standards are maintained. The position requires frequent physical activity, including repetitive lifting of milk cases and working in a fast-paced production environment.Key Responsibilities Lift, carry, stack, and move cases of milk and dairy products throughout the facility. Load and unload products from pallets, racks, conveyors, and storage areas. Follow established quality, food safety, and manufacturing procedures. Inspect products and packaging for damage or defects and report issues to leadership. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Adhere to all company safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, and quality teams to meet operational goals.Qualifications Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull milk cases and other materials throughout the shift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to safety and quality requirements. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.Physical Requirements Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Ability to work in refrigerated, wet, or varying temperature environments as required. This position plays a critical role in supporting dairy manufacturing operations by ensuring products and materials are safely handled and moved efficiently throughout the facility.
