The Seedling School program emphasizes play and nature-based learning for children aged 3-5 years. The Elementary School features multi-age classrooms, small class sizes, hands-on and relevant project-based learning, individualized goals and assessments, and abundant outdoor experiences. Wild Oak’s mission is to preserve the sanctity of childhood through the joy of learning. Role DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Elementary School Teacher for a full-time on-site role at our campus in Hendersonville, NC. The Teacher will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, facilitate engaging hands-on and project-based learning activities, and nurture a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities include maintaining clear and effective communication with students, families, and faculty, assessing student progress through personalized evaluations, and fostering both academic and social growth in students. The role also entails integrating outdoor education into daily learning experiences.QualificationsStrong foundation in teaching, elementary education, and curriculum developmentProficiency in effective communication and collaboration with students, families, and colleaguesUnderstanding of educational principles and child-centered learning approachesCommitment to fostering inclusivity, curiosity, and respect in the classroomBachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required); teaching certification preferredExperience in outdoor or project-based learning environments is a plus
