Transportation Construction Inspectors (All levels - Trainees, Inspectors, Senior)

ATCS's Construction Services group is expanding our cadre in Pennsylvania! We are looking for individuals with PA construction management and inspection experience.We're open to candidates with varying levels of experience - Inspectors, Trainees, Senior Inspectors to join our team in Harrisburg, PA and surrounding areas!Duties:Perform transportation construction inspections on Highway, Bridges, Environmental, Traffic, and Facilities type projectsWrite daily progress reportsOversight of contractor work crews to ensure compliance with contract documents, reading and interpretation of contract documents to verify that safe construction practices are being utilized to produce quality resultsPerform field test on materials (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, and HMA)Complete documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustmentsReport on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer via standardized reporting, responsible for calculation and determination of pay quantitiesBasic Qualifications:Recent graduates with Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or other related degrees will be considered. 4+ years of heavy highway experience or 2+ years of transportation construction inspection experience will also be considered.2+ years' experience in construction, civil engineering, project management, or materials inspectionKnowledgeable in PennDOT Road & Bridges specifications and standardsKnowledge of mathematics to include algebra, geometry and trigonometrySkill in the use of field engineering and testing equipment, inspection methods and materialsPossession of or ability to obtain required certifications within 12 months of employment and maintainPennDOT Concrete Technician CertificationNICET Level 2-4 in Transportation & Highway ConstructionOSHA 10 Hour SafetyPennDOT NECEPTACI Concrete Field Testing TechnicianPennDOT Flagger Training or equivalentValid Drivers LicenseMust be eligible to work in the United StatesProficient in Site Manager, or other project management softwareOur employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $21.43 to $36.82 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
