Description:
The Project Controller will serve as a key member of JANSON’s Buildings & Environments domain and key to ensuring projects remain within budget, forecast financial performance, supports project managers with cost and schedule analysis, responsible for financial planning, tracking, and reporting for assigned projects. This leader will develop and manage project budgets, cost baselines, and forecasts.

Develop and manage project budgets, cost baselines, and forecasts
Track actual costs vs. budget, identify variances, and explain drivers
Prepare and maintain project financial reports (monthly, quarterly, ad hoc)
Support Earned Value Management (EVM) where applicable
Partner with Project Managers to support schedule, scope, and cost control
Monitor labor, subcontractor, and material costs
Assist with change management, including cost impacts and re-baselining
Ensure compliance with company financial policies, contracts, and client requirements
Support billing, revenue recognition, and invoicing
Contribute to project close-out activities, including final cost reporting
Participate in internal and external audits as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
3–7+ years of project controls or project finance experience
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
Experience with project management or financial systems (e.g., SAP, Deltek, Oracle, Primavera)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
