Bilingual/ESL Facilitator AnticipatedJOB STATUS: OPEN POSTING DATE: 05/26/2026 CLOSING DATE: 06/01/2026 04:00 PM POSTING NUMBER: 053823 LOCATION: Admin Curriculum & Instruction - 874 POSITION TITLE: Bilingual/ESL Facilitator AnticipatedJOB DESCRIPTION:Provide curriculum leadership and develop staff development for the Department of Bilingual/ESL in the assigned area.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Help to plan, implement, and evaluate curriculum and instructional programs for Bilingual/ESL students.Assist teachers in organizing classrooms for effective language acquisition for English learners as requested.Serve as a consultant in selecting instructional supplies, equipment, and books for students.Assist in the planning and delivery of staff development opportunities to help raise the level of instructional performance for students.Support appropriate use of technology in the teaching/learning process for students.Recommend ways in which curriculum and instruction can be adjusted to meet the particular learning needs of English learners.Participate in proposed and ongoing curriculum projects.Perform classroom visitations and demonstrations for teachers and administrators.Work with individuals and committees on topics of curriculum and instruction.Inform teachers and administrators of significant trends and developments in instruction and curriculum.Orient new teachers to instructional programs/curriculum.Prepare necessary inventories, budget requests, and similar documents.Take leadership role in the implementation and revision of curriculum and lesson planning.Work with English learners and Bilingual models classroom instruction as needed.Create quality common assessments and assessment literacy tools.Maintain confidentiality.Maintain regular attendance.Perform all other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE:Three years successful classroom teaching experienceExperience in presenting staff developmentExperience in facilitating and working with teams (i.e., team leader, curriculum writing teams, etc.)QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree in education and relevant content areaValid Texas teaching certificateBilingual certificationSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, staff development, and universal design for learningAbility to interpret policy, procedures, and dataStrong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaborativelyStrong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with disabilitiesAbility to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectivenessStrong working knowledge of the following:Linguistic accommodations for English Learners (ELs)Conroe ISD One-way Dual Language Bilingual Program ModelSheltered Instruction Strategies Using the SIOP ModelSeven Steps to Literacy Training and StrategiesCISD READS and WRITESCISD's developmental reading assessmentsInstructional strategies/interventions for at-risk studentsBilingual in SpanishCONTACT INFORMATION:Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress.
