1st Choice is seeking motivated, community-minded individuals to support an important public health outreach initiative focused on maternal and community health education throughout Baltimore City.This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about public health, advocacy, outreach, and creating positive change within their communities.Part-Time | Approximately 15+ Hours WeeklyShort-Term Community Outreach Initiative | May–June 2026Position OverviewCommunity Health Outreach Ambassadors will support education and outreach efforts by engaging Baltimore City residents, distributing educational materials, and increasing awareness around important community health resources and prevention initiatives.Outreach activities may include door-to-door engagement, participation at community events, and connecting with residents throughout targeted neighborhoods across Baltimore City.This position is expected to begin by the end of May 2026, with onboarding and training occurring during the first week of June.Key Responsibilities• Conduct outreach within Baltimore City communities and neighborhoods• Educate residents on public health prevention resources and available services• Distribute educational materials at community locations and events• Participate in required onboarding and training sessions• Track and document outreach activity using mobile technology• Engage professionally and respectfully with community members• Follow outreach plans developed by program leadershipSchedule• Approximately 15 hours per week• Evening and weekend availability strongly preferred• Additional outreach hours may be available based on program needs Travel & Field Work• This position involves community-based outreach throughout various Baltimore City neighborhoods• Candidates should be comfortable traveling between outreach locations and community events• Access to reliable transportation is strongly preferred• Outreach activities may include walking throughout assigned communities and attending evening/weekend eventsScheduleQualifications• Baltimore City resident strongly preferred• Comfortable speaking and engaging with new people• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Comfortable walking and working within the community• Tech-savvy and able to use smartphone applications• Reliable transportation or ability to travel throughout Baltimore City preferred• Passion for community outreach and public health initiativesPreferred Qualifications• Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply• Prior outreach, advocacy, healthcare, or community engagement experience is a plus• Existing community ties or neighborhood networks highly valued Choose 1st Choice — we care about our people, offer great benefits, and create real opportunities to grow.
