Job DescriptionWe have a contract to hire opportunity for a CNC Lathe Setup / OperatorCNC Lathe Setup / Operator Pay Rate: $22/Hr. To $37/Hr. (based on experience and expertise) Location: Rochester NY Schedule: 7:30am to 4pm (Monday to Friday) Position Summary The CNC Lathe Setup/Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precision components in accordance with blueprints, work orders, and quality standards. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and AS9100 quality requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications to set up CNC lathe machines for productionSet up jobs accurately according to work orders and engineering requirementsOperate CNC lathes to produce required quantities of parts within specified tolerancesFollow all safety rules and guidelines related to CNC operation, machine guarding, and material handlingMove raw materials to machine areas manually or using pallet jacksLoad materials into machines manually or with overhead cranes as requiredRemove machined parts and transfer them to boxes or pallets manually or using cranesPerform visual and basic dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards prior to inspectionComplete routine CNC machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work areaRemove burrs and sharp edges using hand tools such as grinders, files, roto?burrs, and sanding materialsSupport and promote the requirements of the Precise Quality Management System and AS9100 standardsKnowledge, Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Setup/OperatorAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong understanding of CNC lathe operation, setups, and toolingExperience working in a safety?focused manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with quality systems and aerospace or precision manufacturing standards preferredAbility to lift, load, and move materials as required in a manufacturing setting Estimated Min Rate: $22.00Estimated Max Rate: $37.00What's In It for You?We welcome you to be a part of the largest and legendary global staffing companies to meet your career aspirations.
