Class A CDL Driver with Route Sales-

SUMMARY: Deliver products to Umpqua Dairy Depots and occasionally deliver product to stores and distributors. Umpqua Dairy's starting wage for our drivers is $26.06. Drivers work a 4x10 schedule, and are home every night. Umpqua Dairy offers excellent benefits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reads work orders/load sheets or follows oral instructions to ascertain that all product is on the truck and delivered in a safe and timely manner. Loads and unloads products from delivery truck using hand trucks and pallet jacks on some routes. Knowledge of all products both current and new. Maintain the correct temperature of your truck/trailer at all times. Observe driving laws at all times, safe and defensive driving is very important. Make sure your load is secure before moving. Learn to operate the Hand Held Route accounting computer and printer assigned to each driver Keep delivery truck clear of clutter and clean up spills. Report vehicle and safety concerns to appropriate personnel. Transfer inner office mail and pick up freight when applicable. Mount tire chains on specified tires as needed (subject to weather conditions) Confirm load is of legal weight Other duties as assigned Drive Test and equipment competency will need to be preformed before offer of employment.
