This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees quality systems, and partners cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain to deliver world-class quality performance.Position SummaryThe Quality Manager is responsible for leading all quality functions within a manufacturing facility, ensuring products meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality objectives. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees quality systems, and partners cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain to deliver world-class quality performance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all plant-level quality activities including quality systems, audits, inspections, and customer interfaceEnsure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 (or applicable standards) and customer-specific requirementsDrive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) for internal and external quality issuesManage PPAP, APQP, and launch quality activities for new product introductionsOversee supplier quality performance, including SCARs, audits, and incoming quality processesLead and develop the plant quality team, including engineers, supervisors, and techniciansMonitor and report key quality KPIs (PPM, scrap, warranty, cost of poor quality)Partner with operations to drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process capability (SPC)Support customer audits, visits, and escalations as the primary plant quality contactEnsure proper documentation, control plans, and quality standards are maintained and followedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, with leadership experience preferredStrong knowledge of automotive or regulated quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO, AS9100, etc.)Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, control plans, and SPCProven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional resultsStrong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience in automotive, Tier 1, or high-volume manufacturing environmentsLean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)Experience managing customer-facing quality issues and auditsFamiliarity with ERP systems and quality management softwareCore CompetenciesLeadership & Team DevelopmentProblem Solving & Root Cause AnalysisContinuous Improvement MindsetAttention to Detail & AccountabilityCustomer FocusIf you have strong manufacturing quality leadership experience and are ready to make an impact, let's connect!Equal Employment Opportunity StatementReliance One, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
