Accounting Specialist
Robert Half is partnering with an organization in Fairfield, looking for an Accounting Specialist on a contract-to-permanent basis.Duties:Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentationManage vendor invoices, customer billing, payment application, and cash receipts reconciliationInvestigate and resolve AP discrepancies, short payments, unapplied cash, and customer or vendor inquiriesPerform account reconciliations and support month‑end close activities related to AP, AR, and subledgersMaintain controls and compliance with company policies, GAAP standards, and audit requirementsPartner cross‑functionally with Procurement, Sales, and Finance to improve processes and resolve issues• At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or a similar accounting role.• Proficiency in an ERP outside of just QuickBooks• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other essential functions.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
