Role Title: Data Warehouse EngineerEmployment Type: ContractDuration: 6 month contract, with potential extensionPreferred Location: Remote in Michigan - some travel to Plymouth, MI may be neededRole Description: We are seeking a Data Warehouse Expert / Consultant to support the continued growth and enhancement of our enterprise manufacturing data environment. This role will focus on integrating shop floor and operational systems into a centralized data warehouse architecture while improving reporting, analytics, and KPI visibility across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern cloud data technologies, strong data integration expertise, and the ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders in a manufacturing environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhance enterprise data warehouse solutions to support manufacturing operations and reporting needsIntegrate distributed shop floor and operational systems into a centralized data warehouse environmentDevelop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration processesBuild and optimize data models for reporting, analytics, and KPI generationCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutionsSupport reporting and dashboard development using Power BI and related toolsWork with APIs and external data sources to automate data ingestion and consolidationEnsure data quality, integrity, and performance across the data platformPartner with internal teams and external vendors to support ongoing data initiatives and enhancementsContribute to the advancement and sophistication of the existing data warehouse architectureRequirements: Required Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in data warehouse development, data engineering, or related fieldsStrong experience with: Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Power BI, API integrationsExperience designing and supporting ETL/ELT processesKnowledge of data modeling, data integration, and reporting best practicesExperience working with manufacturing, shop floor, or operational data environments preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilitiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in enterprise manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with cloud-based data architectures and modern analytics platformsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
