Job Location: Saturn Fasteners, An Acument Global Technologies Company, Burbank, CaliforniaPosition TitleMaintenance TechnicianClassificationNon-ExemptFunction/DepartmentBurbank MNF-MaintenanceLocation Burbank-Saturn FastenersReports To TitleMaintenance SupervisorOriginal Issue Date4/17/24Revision Date/Rev #Position SummaryRepairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines and equipment by performing various duties as listed belowPosition Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToObserves mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate root causes of malfunction or other technical problemDismantles devices to gain access to and removes defective parts for repair or replacementExamines form and texture of parts to detect imperfectionsInspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirementsAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instrumentsRepairs or replaces defective parts as necessaryInstalls special functional and structural parts in devicesPreventative maintenance: lubricates and cleans parts as necessary and as scheduledFabricates most necessary partsOperates machines to test performance during maintenance processesSets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair machine parts as necessaryInitiates purchase order process for parts and machinesWorks with Electrical Maintenance Tech to maintain electrical equipmentWorks with EHS Manager to address technical related safety issuesKeeps work order tickets current using the MaintainX systemQualifications-Education/ExperienceRequired:Collects and researches data, uses intuition and experience to complement dataGenerates creative solutions, uses feedback to modify designs, and demonstrates attention to detail.Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions to problemsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
