Start a job that offers up something new each day.Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $17.50 | Year 3 - $18.00 | Year 4 - $18.00 | Year 5 - $19.00Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.Cashier Responsibilities:Processes customer purchases, performs general cleaning duties, stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatlyProvides exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experienceProvides feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issuesParticipates in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracyAdheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize lossesStocker Responsibilities:Stocks shelves and rotates product properly to guarantee fresh product is available for the customerFollows merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displaysOrganizes new inventory, removes and breaks down empty boxesOperates machinery and follows all safety proceduresPhysical Demands:Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the storeStocker: Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heightsQualifications:You must be 18 years of age or olderAbility to provide prompt and courteous customer serviceAbility to perform general cleaning duties to company standardsAbility to interpret and apply company policies and proceduresExcellent verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and within a team environmentEffective time managementKnowledge of products and services of the companyCashier: Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accuratelyCashier: Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beveragesStocker: Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard balerStocker: ALDI Stockers must have morning availability to accommodate store operational responsibilities and be available to work morning shifts with start times as early as 5:00 a.m.Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
