Structural Project Manager
We are currently looking for Project managers that specialize in shell/structural projects that have mid/high-rise experience to work for a shell general contractor in the Miami area. The Project Manager oversees all aspects of assigned construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, company, and legal requirements, including Florida state and federal construction laws. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the company, clients, and subcontractors.ResponsibilitiesLead project kickoff meetings with assigned staff.Coordinate mobilization of equipment, materials, and staffing with the Superintendent.Review and manage the scope of work, contract, budget, and schedule with their management.Maintain and update the project schedule, document and request extensions for delays.Manage subcontractor negotiations and material/vendor delivery schedules.Attend weekly general contractor and coordination meetings.Monitor project budgets, purchases, and rentals to ensure cost control.Prepare and review change orders, pay applications, and project logs.Coordinate concrete, pump, and finishing services; handle cancellations as needed.Track and document PT elongation reports, approvals, and cable cutting.Collaborate with the Superintendent to resolve schedule or resource challenges.Implement and enforce company safety policies, OSHA standards, and Florida-specific jobsite safety regulations.Manage project closeout, including warranties, as-builts, and punch lists.Exercise authority to stop unsafe work activities.Maintain effective communication with clients, general contractors, and internal stakeholders.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive construction experience, including responsibility for project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.In lieu of a degree: Associate’s Degree plus a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience, including project coordination or project management responsibilities.Proficiency in Procore, Textura, Microsoft Office Suite, and other construction project management software.Strong understanding of Florida Building Code, local permitting processes, and OSHA construction safety regulations.Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, change orders, subcontractors, and project documentation.Effective communication skills in both English and Spanish (preferred due to customer base).Preferred SkillsExperience managing mid to large scale commercial or residential construction projects in Florida.Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code, OSHA regulations, and local permitting processes.Familiarity with public and private sector construction contracts.Advanced proficiency with Procore, Textura, Microsoft Office Suite, and other construction project management tools.Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.Strong understanding of civil, structural, and finish work.
