Candidates are expected to operate at a level where fundamental computer science concepts are second nature and actively applied in production environments, rather than learned in isolation.We are partnering with a leading systematic proprietary trading firm in New York City to hire a Middle Office Technology Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of trading operations, technology, and team management.The RoleYou will lead a small, high-impact team responsible for building and supporting middle office systems that sit between front office trading and back office operations. This role combines technical ownership, people management, and close collaboration with traders, quants, and operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and grow a team of middle office engineersArchitect, develop, and maintain middle office systems using C# / .NETPartner with trading desks to enhance trade capture, PnL, risk, and reconciliation workflowsDrive automation and scalability across post-trade processesEnsure system reliability, performance, and data integrity in a fast-paced trading environmentAct as a key liaison between front office, risk, and operations teamsTechnical EnvironmentCore stack: C#, .NET, SQL ServerExperience with real-time systems, messaging frameworks, and distributed architecture is highly valuedExposure to cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices is a plusRequirementsStrong hands-on experience with C# / .NET development in a financial environmentPrior experience in middle office, trade support, or post-trade systemsProven leadership experience managing or mentoring small teamsDeep understanding of trading workflows, PnL, and risk conceptsStrong communication skills and ability to work closely with front office stakeholders
