IT Technician

The IT Technician requires a dynamic professional capable of managing system administration, cyber security, network maintenance, and help desk support. Resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and efficient manner. Document support tickets and ensure follow-up until resolution. Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts and workstations. Train end-users on new technologies and provide ongoing support. Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and related infrastructure. Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability. Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other essential services. Perform routine backups and disaster recovery operations. Update and patch systems regularly to ensure security and compliance. Maintain virtualization technologies such as VMware and Scale Computing. Develop and maintain system documentation. Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Manage security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems. Enforce security policies and procedures. Stay up to date with the latest security threats and ensure proactive measures are in place. Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues. Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues. Manage network infrastructure including switches, routers, and wireless access points. Ensure network security through proper configuration and monitoring.Education And/Or ExperienceTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have an equivalent of the following education and/or experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or three years related experience and training Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.Powered by ExactHire: 128920
