Financial Analyst/Accountant

Location: Phoenix, AZ Preferred (Salary: $70,000/yr to $80,000/yr) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong professional with a solid foundation in accounting principles to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across the organization. This role partners closely with Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership to provide accurate insights that drive informed decision-making, margin optimization, and scalable growth. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with financial statements, understands accrual accounting, and can translate numbers into clear business narratives. Key Responsibilities Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance against budget and forecast Prepare and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning Support month-end close by partnering with accounting to validate accruals, revenue recognition, and expense classifications Analyze P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements; identify trends, variances, and risks Track project, client, and departmental profitability and margins Assist with revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives Develop dashboards and executive-ready financial reports Support audits, compliance efforts, and financial controls as needed Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial processes, data accuracy, and reporting cadence Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or corporate finance Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), including accruals and revenue recognition Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, formulas) Experience working with general ledger data and financial statements Ability to clearly communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience in professional services, consulting, or technology organizations Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) Experience with BI tools or dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification is a plus Exposure to budgeting in multi-client or project-based environments What Success Looks Like in This Role Financial reports are accurate, timely, and trusted by leadership Variances are proactively identified and clearly explained Forecasts improve in accuracy over time Stakeholders rely on you as a financial thought partner—not just a report generator Why Join Us Direct exposure to executive leadership and strategic decision-making Opportunity to influence financial discipline and operational scale Collaborative, high-accountability culture with room for growth
