Description:We are seeking a person who is active, creative, patient, high-energy and willing to learn Spelling to Communicate.Micah is a 31-year-old male who needs physical activity every day. He likes to hike and swim. He also likes trampolines, bowling, the beach, and exploring new places. He enjoys crafts such as painting and making clay projects. He enjoys cooking and shopping for his lunches, He enjoys berry, apple, and peach picking, and then creating muffins and desserts for his family. Micah's regulation benefits from 2 hours of physical movement daily, without it he easily becomes dysregulated.Schedule- Saturdays 9am-5pm (Flexible)Pay: $21/hr. plus mileage reimbursementRequirements:Access to reliable transportation and adequate auto insurancePrior experience working for individuals with developmental disabilities (Preferred)Ability to work together with client to complete organizational tasksAbility to carry out individual service goals and communication goalsAssistance with transportation if needed to Dr. appointments and errandsHousehold organization and cleaningDocumentation of servicesConsistent contact with Case Manager in re: to program activitiesDemonstrate a commitment to the Moore Center's valuesComply with all state, agency and department policies and proceduresWork independently and as part of a teamAssist individuals in community, vocational, and residential settingsProvide personal care and behavioral support, including but not limited to physical assistanceMaintain professional demeanor in emotionally charged situationsDemonstrate flexibility with changes in job, schedule and dutiesAll staff must adhere to the NH state law requiring mandated reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Additionally, staff are required to maintain criminal, motor vehicle and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services record checks that meet agency standards. Staff are also required to travel and transport clients when applicable. This includes having access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license and maintaining personal auto insurance of $100,000/300,000.
