This role sits one level above Manager and is responsible not only for ensuring operational excellence and financial rigor, but also for setting the standard for ways of working, mentoring managers and team members, and proactively shaping scalable solutions that support long-term client growth.The Senior Manager partners closely with Operations Leads, Client Leads, Project Management, and Finance to oversee complex scopes, optimize utilization and funding, and drive continuous improvement across processes and delivery models.Primary ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Operational LeadershipServe as a senior operations partner to Client Leads and Operations Leads across one or more client engagementsLead annual scope development and oversee complex scope enhancements, ensuring alignment to client objectives and resourcing strategiesProactively monitor scope and staff utilization, identifying risks and opportunities; recommend and implement corrective actions at a strategic levelEnsure teams are funded appropriately and operating at or above 90% billable utilization, with accountability across managers and team membersLead development and delivery of client-facing scope utilization and operational performance reportingFacilitate and oversee weekly and monthly operational forums to address current performance, future needs, and escalation managementContribute senior-level insight and operational storytelling to QBRs and executive client presentationsFinancial Oversight & GovernanceProvide senior oversight of monthly financial reporting in partnership with Project Management and FinanceOptimize funding models and resourcing approaches based on financial trends and forecasted demandOversee media reconciliation efforts and ensure timely, accurate resolution of discrepanciesMaintain accountability for client and vendor billing accuracy, timeliness, and complianceIdentify and mitigate financial risk across scopes and engagementsProcess Development & Ways of Working OptimizationOwn and evolve client-specific Playbooks and Ways of Working, ensuring consistency, scalability, and best-in-class deliveryLead onboarding for new clients and senior team members, ensuring rapid integration into operational modelsDesign and deploy training initiatives (e.g., briefing processes, financial hygiene, utilization management) to improve productivity and qualityChampion continuous improvement initiatives that simplify workflows, improve transparency, and enhance client satisfactionAct as a change leader, driving adoption of new tools, processes, and operating models across teamsPeople LeadershipMentor and coach Managers and team members within Client OperationsProvide guidance on prioritization, problem-solving, and stakeholder managementModel proactive ownership, accountability, and a solution-oriented mindsetPartner with leadership to identify development opportunities and succession planning needsSkillsets RequiredBachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or a related field5+ years of marketing, operations, agency, or project management experience (agency experience preferred)Demonstrated expertise in Client Operations, financial management, and scope governanceExperience in Shopper Marketing strongly preferredAdvanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPointProven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams under tight timelinesStrong understanding of client operations, procurement, and billing processesExceptional attention to detail with the ability to think strategicallyProactive, dependable, and solution-oriented leaderStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions and senior stakeholdersDesire to continuously improve ways of working and develop high-performing teamsSelf-starter with the ability to create processes from ground upStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work closely with multiple department heads Additional InformationThe Power of One starts with our people! This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
