Source and purchase materials, components, and supplies according to production requirements. Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure high-quality materials at competitive prices. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery times. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to understand material specifications and ensure timely deliveries. Manage inventory levels, ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules without overstocking. Stay updated on market trends, changes in material costs, and new supplier options to provide the best purchasing solutions. Resolve supply chain issues, such as delays or discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and ethical standards. Prepare and maintain detailed purchasing records and reports.
