Job Description:Position SummaryThe Project Technician is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of cloud and on-premise infrastructure projects across client environments. This role plays a critical part in delivering scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions, including Microsoft cloud platforms, networking, and security-focused initiatives.This individual will work closely with project leadership and engineering teams to execute projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure/Entra ID implementations, network deployments, VLAN configurations, and security enhancements, ensuring successful delivery and a high-quality client experience.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Design & ImplementationAssist in the design and execution of cloud and on-premise solutions across client environmentsSupport project delivery for:Microsoft 365 migrations (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)Azure AD / Entra ID implementationsVirtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environmentsBackup and disaster recovery solutionsCollaborate with Project Managers to build and execute detailed project plansResearch and apply best practices for implementation, scalability, and securityNetworking & SecurityDesign and configure LAN/WAN environments, including:VLANs and network segmentationRouting and switchingFirewall configuration and access control policiesImplement and support secure network architectures aligned to business requirementsTroubleshoot complex network and server-related issuesSupport secure remote access, VPNs, and mobile device connectivityCloud & Systems EngineeringDeploy and manage:Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)Entra ID / identity and access managementEndpoint and mobile device management solutionsSupport Windows environments, server infrastructure, and hybrid cloud integrationsAssist in cloud security implementations and policy enforcementClient Support & CommunicationCommunicate directly with clients regarding:Project timelinesProgress updatesScheduled changes or outagesProvide white-glove support during project execution and transitionsAssist in developing business cases and recommending technology solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and securityAdvanced Troubleshooting & EscalationTroubleshoot and resolve advanced server, network, and cloud issuesProvide escalation support to both proactive (project) and reactive (service desk) teamsDocument issues, solutions, and configurations in detailDeliver internal knowledge sharing and training on implemented solutionsVendor & Solution CollaborationWork with third-party vendors and partners to resolve issues and deploy solutionsEvaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance client environmentsTechnical RequirementsStrong understanding of:Networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, WAN/LAN)Network security principles and firewall configurationsExperience with:Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)Azure / Entra IDWindows Server environmentsBackup and disaster recovery solutionsFamiliarity with:Remote access technologies (VPN, RDP, etc.)VOIP systems and mobile device managementAbility to design and implement business-grade IT solutions and network architecturesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)Experience in an MSP or project-based IT environment strongly preferredStrong ability to:Multi-task and manage competing prioritiesAdapt quickly in fast-paced environmentsTroubleshoot complex technical issues effectivelyExcellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilitySuccess ProfileStrong project execution mindset with attention to detailAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyClient-first mentality with strong communication skillsComfortable operating in structured, process-driven MSP environmentsRequired Skills:
