Additional information about LSI is available at www.lsicorp.comWe are looking for a HR Generalist to support our JSI team in Milo or Bangor, Maine.Position Overview:The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner to plant leadership and employees, supporting day-to-day HR operations across a multi-site manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for executing HR programs and initiatives in the areas of employee relations, safety, compliance, talent development, and benefits administration.The HR Generalist acts as a trusted advisor to supervisors and employees, ensuring consistent application of company policies, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving continuous improvement across HR processes.Essential Job Functions:Employee Relations & Leadership SupportServe as the primary HR contact for assigned business units, providing guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practicesConduct employee investigations, document findings, and partner with leadership on appropriate corrective actionsCoach supervisors on performance management, employee engagement, and conflict resolutionSupport disciplinary processes ensuring consistency, fairness, and legal complianceCompliance & Policy AdministrationEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsInterpret and apply company policies and recommend updates as neededMaintain accurate and compliant employee records and HR documentationSupport audits, reporting, and regulatory requirementsRecruitment & OnboardingPartner with hiring managers to support recruiting efforts, including job postings, screening, and interview coordinationFacilitate onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive employee experienceSupport workforce planning initiatives including headcount tracking and gap analysisTraining & DevelopmentCoordinate and deliver training programs, including onboarding, compliance, and leadership developmentIdentify development needs and support implementation of training initiativesPromote a culture of continuous learning and professional growthSafety & Risk ManagementPromote a culture of safety by partnering with operations on training, coaching, and compliance initiativesSupport incident investigations and corrective action follow-upEnsure adherence to company safety policies and OSHA requirementsBenefits & HR OperationsAdminister employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiriesSupport leave administration (FMLA, ADA, and other applicable programs)Process personnel changes and maintain data integrity within HRIS (ADP Workforce Now)Assist with payroll coordination and reporting as neededMinimum Qualifications:Required:Minimum of 2+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or multi-site environment preferredWorking knowledge of employment law and HR best practicesExperience handling employee relations issues and investigationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levelsHigh level of discretion and ability to handle confidential informationProficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred)Bilingual in Spanish preferredEducation and/or Experience:Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferredPhysical Demands:Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistanceManual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely and effectivelyAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperaturesWork Environment:Safety-Sensitive Position – strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures is required Fast-paced, production-driven manufacturing environment Regular attendance and punctuality are essential Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic Benefits:401(k)Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time offEEOCLSI is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
