Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life.Housekeeper RequirementsAbility to lift 40 lbsStrict adherence to patient confidentiality, boundaries and ethicsHousekeeper Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsures patient rooms, bathrooms, community areas, staff offices, group rooms, nursing stations, corridors, stairwells, etc., are clean, properly disinfected, sanitized, and free of odor at all timesWet mops daily or as neededBuff floors, strip, seal and refinish floors as requested (HPH only)Attend to spills immediatelyEmpty trash and clean containersClean floor edges and corners to prevent build-upClean windows, windowsills and other furnishingsKnowledge of chemical handling and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Knowledge of OSHA safety precautionsKnowledge of Infection Control Standards – Hand Washing, Personal ProtectiveEquipment (PPE), Blood spill kits, etc. General knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, disinfecting, etc. Replaces soiled linen, as needed, in patient roomsHandles all Bio-HazardUtilize standard precautions at all timesDemonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients/clients as defined by the patient’s rightCoordinates with MHS/RS staff to maintain accurate linen and scrubs inventoryAttend all unit, facility meeting and case conferences as directed by SupervisorAttend mandatory trainingOther duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Hospital Administrator, Program Director, Area Director and/or Vice PresidentHousekeeper QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent (GED)
