Job Title: SDET / ETL Backend TesterLocation: 100% Remote (Candidates must reside in the DMV area - DC, MD, VA)Interview OnsiteGC/USCStrong in Java/Selenium automation, SQL (complex queries), Jenkins scripting, and ETL backend testing within healthcare insurance (Claims/Enrollment) systems handling large enterprise datasets.Job OverviewSoftware Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong Backend ETL Testing experience to join a fast-paced, cross-functional team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Java/Selenium automation, SQL querying, and Jenkins scripting, with proven experience handling large enterprise data sets. This role involves supporting production environments and ensuring data integrity across backend systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java/Selenium and related tools.Perform Backend ETL testing, validating data movement, transformation, and integrity across systems.Write and execute complex SQL queries to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot large datasets (in the millions).Create and maintain Jenkins pipelines and scripts for continuous integration and automation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve defects in Agile and Waterfall environments.Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for both frontend and backend systems.Support healthcare insurance systems, focusing on Claims or Enrollment platforms.Participate in production support and contribute to quality improvements in enterprise-level applications. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.6+ years of experience as an SDET, with hands-on automation and backend ETL testing expertise.Proven experience in Healthcare Insurance domain (Claims or Enrollment).Strong SQL skills - must be able to handle large, complex queries for enterprise-scale data.Experience with Jenkins scripting and pipeline automation.Proficient in Java/Selenium, SoapUI, or similar tools for front-end and API automation.Experience with large datasets (millions of records).Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as ALM, AGM, or JIRA.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred QualificationsExperience with DB2 UDB, DB2 Mainframe, or MongoDB databases.Exposure to GenAI testing frameworks or methodologies and work on enterprise-level projects involving large-scale data processing and automation initiatives.
