The RoleWe are looking for a Solutions Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to help our technical sales efforts. In this role, you will drive business value for prospects and existing customers by demonstrating how ThoughtSpot’s product and services can assist in achieving strategic business goals.The ideal candidate for this position will have a demonstrated history of success in selling technical solutions to the enterprise market, preferably in the Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, or Analytics space. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how technology can solve business challenges, possess a consultative sales approach and value the importance of teamwork while having the ability to work independently in a rapidly growing and changing environment.What You'll DoUnderstand customers’ analytic goals and challenges through successful discoveryConfidently present and articulate the business value of our platform to all levelsDemonstrate our product in a way that clearly differentiates us from the competitionDefine and conduct product evaluations with customers by working with them to analyze their own dataWork as a team player by continually learning and sharing new knowledgeManage multiple customer engagements simultaneouslyBe self-motivated, flexible and take initiativeBe a partner with sales in assisting with planning account strategyDevelop a trusted advisor relationship with customer champions and ThoughtSpot Account Executives such that all activities are aligned with achieving customer and company success. What You BringDemonstrated success as part of a sales team in a customer-facing roleIntermediate level or greater proficiency in SQLIntermediate level or greater proficiency in JavaScript or Python preferredIntermediate level understanding of data modeling concepts and best practicesHands-on experience with common database technologies such as Snowflake, Amazon RedShift, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Synapse, SQL Server, Oracle, or otherExperience with BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Looker or similarAbility to grasp customer needs and suggest timely solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skills Superior presentation and demonstration skills for both technical and business audiencesBroad understanding and ability to articulate the benefits of cloud computingThe ability to work independently in an environment that changes rapidlyAmbitious, innately curious and self-motivated with a high degree of sales and technical interestHighly coachable with a strong desire to improve and growStrong initiative and positive attitudeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to travel as needed Hybrid Work at ThoughtSpotSpotters are expected in-office 3 days per week to experience the energy of their local office.
