POSTING of VACANCYSpecial Education Secretary (SSI)Mullen Hall School37.5 hours/week, 11 months/year (214 days)(includes 15 days before school begins and 15 days after school ends)2025-2026 School YearQUALIFICATIONS:High School diploma with postgraduate secretarial study preferredHigh level of technical skills including typing of 60 words per minute and familiarity with a variety of office machinesProficiency with computer applications and technologyAbility to serve the public, faculty, and students in professional, efficient, and pleasing mannerAbility to manage multiple projectsWell-organized and adept at organizational proceduresAbility to work with a minimum of supervisionMeet deadlines and work under time constraintsSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may deem appropriate and acceptableRESPONSIBILITIES:Advance an office entry climate that is welcoming, inclusive and develops a sense of belongingProvide clerical support to the special education building administrator and support for other administrators as necessaryEffectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment in a highly organized, detail-oriented and thorough manner.Manage special education office routines that may include but are not limited to mail, telephone, correspondence, communication with families and staff related to scheduling, district office administration and outside service providersMaintain confidentialityLead responsibility for appropriate handling reports and materials including but not limited to special education legal documents and other such documents concerning the operation of the office of the special education building administratorAssist with correspondence, reports, and notices when requestedWork as an integral part of the administrative office teamSupport regular office duties that include but are not limited to answering the phone and dismissing childrenPerform such other tasks as may from time to time be assigned by Special Education Building Administrator and/or PrincipalREPORTS TO: Principal, Assistant Principal, Special Education Building AdministratorSALARY: In accordance with the Secretarial contract.APPLICATION: Please apply until filled to: www.falmouth.k12.ma.us#MH-SSI Sec26-1 Lori Duerr, Ed.D.
