LC State invites applications for the position of Landscape Technician, Senior.Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $18.27 - $20.67Required QualificationsEither six months of experience performing duties of a Landscape Technician or one year of experience in flower gardening and general grounds maintenance work.Grounds equipment maintenance and repair.Valid driver's licenseStrong communication skills and attention to detail.Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree from a regionally accredited college/university preferred.Knowledge of plants and soil types.Horticulture and professional landscaping practices.Knowledge of spraying of pesticides and herbicides.Basic pruning & irrigation knowledge.ResponsibilitiesUnder supervision, do routine gardening, general landscaping, and grounds maintenance work; may instruct, lead, or supervise temporary workers; operate and maintain related equipment; perform related work.Responsible for all aspects of landscaping, such as weeding, fertilizing, spraying, mulching, trimming hedges, cutting branches, and mowing lawns.Assists other landscape and crafts staff performing their dutiesUses snow blowers, lawn mowers, airlift platforms, dollies, and cartsRemoves waste and debris from areasDuties may include setting up bleachers, portable flooring, tables, and chairs for special eventsShovels snow from walkwaysOther duties as assigned.Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.Application Procedure: Please upload all of the following documents or your application may not be considered for review.Cover Letter/Letter of InterestResumeContact Information or Letters for three (3) Professional ReferencesThis position is open until filled.
