This role is part of our ET/UT product line.For more information about our product line: https://www.eddyfi.com/ This role can be based in Quebec City or Houston.The Technician Sales Support & aftersales acts as a key reference for both internal teams and clients by providing in-depth knowledge of products and their applications. This role involves understanding clients' technological needs and collaborating with internal teams to propose effective solutions. This role is primarily focused on tubing inspection technologies (ECT, RFT, NFT, IRIS, and others) and is intended for a candidate with hands-on field experience who has performed real inspections in industrial settings.The incumbent understands the realities of field operations, is proficient in tubing signal interpretation and analysis, and has solid knowledge of the inspection market in the petrochemical, power generation and Oil & Gas sectors. You’ll collaborate with experts driven by innovation and excellence, and evolve in a culture that values commitment, initiative, and teamwork.We encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet every requirement listed, as we recognise that skills and experience can be gained in many ways.Your Role As Technician Sales Support & AftersalesSupport the sales team during demonstrations, customer visits, and technical calls by presenting product capabilities and answering technical questions.Analyze customer needs to recommend standard products or collaborate on custom solutions with the tailored applications team.Perform technical feasibility tests to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and performance standards.Train customers on the use of products through hands-on sessions and clear, tailored educational materials.Provide post-sales technical support, including on-site troubleshooting and communication with customers regarding issues encountered.Master and apply tubing inspection technologies (ECT, RFT, NFT, IRIS, and others); act as a reference expert and apply the applicable standards and codes by region (ASME, ASNT, NAS 410, API, etc.).Interpret and analyze tubing inspection signals with rigor, taking into account the operational context and equipment reliability requirements.Leverage knowledge of the O&G inspection market to advise customers and identify business opportunities.Create technical content in collaboration with the marketing team (blogs, webinars, workshops, etc.) and participate in conferences to promote the company’s expertise.Manage semi-custom product projects by coordinating a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality, timelines, and budget compliance.Support production by improving technical documentation and ensure effective product transfer to autonomous manufacturing.Work closely with R&D for product development and evolution by providing field feedback and conducting application tests.We value transferable skills, different career paths and learning agility. Experience gained through non-traditional routes is welcome.To Succeed In This Role You BringCollege diploma in science or a related field (required); bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (an asset) 8+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated hands-on tubing inspection experience in the fieldProven field experience in tubing inspection: having performed real inspections in industrial settings is essential for this role.Proficiency in tubing inspection technologies: ECT, RFT, NFT, IRIS, and related methods.Strong tubing signal interpretation and analysis skills.Eddy Current Level II certification (minimum required) – Level III (a significant asset for a subject-matter expert role).Knowledge of other electromagnetic technologies (ECA, PEC, ACFM, MFL) and ultrasonics (UT/PAUT) (an asset).Good understanding of the O&G heat exchanger inspection market.Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to find win-win solutions in a customer service context.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working collaboratively within a team.Ability to train staff and write clear, concise technical reports.Comfortable working under tight deadlines; self-directed, thorough, and committed to delivering high-quality work.Available for frequent travel, primarily throughout the Americas, and internationally as project needs require.At Eddyfi technologies, diversity, equity and inclusion are fundamental to who we are.
