Timber Frame Carpenter

This role offers the opportunity to step into a hands on position in a specialized fabrication and installation environment focused on timber frame structures and insulated panel systems. The position offers hourly pay in the range of $30 to $34, with flexibility to go higher for the right individual, along with consistent overtime opportunities. Tools and equipment are provided, and relocation support is available for the right candidate. The schedule is primarily weekday focused, with travel required during the week and very limited weekend work. When in the field, you will typically leave early Monday morning and return Friday, with weekends almost always protected.Day to day, this role is split evenly between the shop and the field, typically rotating on a monthly basis. You may spend one month in the shop fabricating timber frames, followed by a month in the field installing those structures across various job sites. In the shop, you will work with hand tools, power tools, and equipment to cut and prepare precise components. In the field, you will assemble and install those structures, often working at heights and in outdoor conditions. Field weeks are longer, typically 50 to 55 hours, while shop weeks are closer to 45 hours. There is some flexibility required, as you may occasionally stay an extra week in the field to finish a project, though this is not common. The work is physical, team oriented, and requires attention to detail and a strong safety mindset, with exposure to all seasons including cold winter conditions.This role aligns well with military backgrounds that are comfortable with physical work, outdoor environments, and team based execution. Ideal candidates include combat engineers, Seabees, or individuals from construction, heavy equipment, or mechanical backgrounds. Combat arms backgrounds such as infantry or artillery can also be a strong fit if paired with the right work ethic, maturity, and willingness to learn. Prior carpentry, construction, or woodworking experience is helpful, but not required.
