The Component and Repair Engineer is responsible for identifying replacement components to support the materials team as well as diagnosing, repairing, and processing product repairs.
As Component Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Identifying, qualifying and releasing components to the database system.
The migration of parts and assemblies from one database system to another.
Ensure the selection of electrical components meet reliability specifications and standards.
Evaluate component datasheets, reliability reports, and manufacturer information to make informed decisions for component substitution.
As Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Prioritizing and coordinating repair activities with production department and the service coordinator.
Record repair information and generate standardized repair reports
Document procedures as needed and recommend improvements.
Perform and support calibrations
Organize the lab for efficient diagnostic and repair activities.
Required skills/experience:
Degree in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent experience.
Understanding of PCBA design.
Understanding of regulations such as RoHS, REACH, etc.
Solid understanding of electronic component reliability, requirements, and specifications.
5 or more years of component engineering or equivalent experience.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to learn database systems and company file systems is essential. Experience with Infor Visual is a plus.
Other Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities/important duties performed occasionally or in addition to the essential duties of the position.)
Participate in meetings as required.
Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
