Learn more at www.allchicago.org.Position Summary:The Landlord Engagement Coordinator is a key member of the Chicago Rents team and plays a vital role in expanding housing options for individuals and families within Chicago's homeless response system. This position is responsible for conducting housing location services, performing unit inspections, and building strong, collaborative relationships with landlords and property managers across the city of Chicago.The Landlord Engagement Coordinator interfaces with tenants, landlords, and property management companies to support successful housing placements. This includes conducting virtual and in-person inspections to ensure units meet federal, state, and local housing standards, as well as providing ongoing outreach, education, and engagement to property partners to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Specific Responsibilities:Landlord Engagement & Partnership DevelopmentBuild and sustain relationships with landlords, property managers, and housing partners to expand access to safe, affordable units for program participantsMaintain updated unit and partner databaseSupport in development of outreach materials and marketing- including brochures, mailings, presentations, and digital content to support landlord recruitment and retention effortsHousing Search SupportProvide housing search and location services to program participants, including identifying available units, coordinating viewings, and supporting the unit processWork collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure smooth housing transitions and successful tenancy outcomesRegulatory Oversight & Quality AssuranceConduct virtual and in-person unit inspections to ensure units meet all applicable federal, state, local and program specific standardsCommunicate inspection results, required corrective actions, and follow up expectations to landlords, property managers, and tenantsInvestigate concerns related to housing conditions, tenant damages, and/or owner neglect, and document findings in accordance with program protocolsDevelop a working knowledge of relevant housing regulations and contribute to the creation of materials that support compliance and education for partnersProgram Coordination & AdministrationCollaborate with external partners, under the direction of the Program Manager, to reviews and related processes.Respond professionally and effectively to inquiries, concerns and complaintsAdhere to internal workflows and processes related to quality assurance, communication, individualized workplan, and monitoringActively participate in team meetings and annual professional development plansAct as an ambassador for All Chicago in all professional settings, demonstrating commitment to the organization's mission and homelessness response prioritiesRequirementsSuccessful candidates will demonstrate commitment to preventing and ending homelessness in Chicago and will have the following:Bachelor's degree in public policy, public administration, social work, business administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)A minimum of three (3) years of experience in property management, housing management, real estate, social services, project management, or a related field; experience with homeless services and housing programs preferredExperience in group training/facilitation and working with diverse populationsKnowledge of Fair Housing laws, housing issues, tenant/landlord relations, and the Chicago Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (RLTO) preferredUnderstanding of homelessness and commitment to supporting individuals experiencing housing instabilityExcellent professional writing and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, conflict resolution, and computer literacy skillsAbility to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environmentGoal oriented with strong interpersonal skillsDemonstrate integrity, strong work ethic, and professional presenceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Must have reliable personal transportation for travel to multiple locations within the City of ChicagoCompensation:We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision insurance, and disability, employer-matched retirement plan, paid leave, and more.To Apply:
