Program ManagerPosition SummaryA highly visible role within a high-performance organization. This position involves direct engagement with senior leadership, customers, and suppliers. The Program Manager is fully responsible for overall project execution, communication, and success of key programs through direct collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure clearly defined and realized timelines, deliverables, risk management, and success metrics. Projects are to be executed with robust planning and risk mitigation. The successful candidate will be accountable for the assigned program team and responsible for their execution of all phases of projects, while actively driving solutions and mitigating risks.Position ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Operations to satisfy both internal and external customer expectationsOversee new program launches, including the identification and coordination of appropriate resources, determination of project scope, and management and communication of project timelines, deliverables, issues, risks, and success metricsStrategize and outline goals and objectives of each programLead cross-functional project teams to solve problems and chair regular project meetings to track progress toward shared objectivesMonitor profitability of projects and ensure expected targets are achievedDevelop and monitor budgets for assigned projects, ensuring costs are planned, invoiced, and distributed appropriatelyMaintain a clear project plan with major milestones and critical paths clearly identifiedTrack project progress against defined cost and timing objectives, and proactively address potential variancesEnsure projects align with strategic initiatives by gathering appropriate information from individuals and project teams to support sound decision-makingComplete accurate, high-quality documentation, including project schedules, status reports, and action plansPrepare and submit program reports for leadership and executive reviewPresent program status and escalate issues as necessary to program sponsors and steering committeesCoordinate engineering changes through the change management process, internally and with customersTravel to customer, supplier, and company facility locations as necessaryCommunicate with customers regarding company products, facilities, and capabilitiesPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedYour ProfileExperience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experienceIn-depth knowledge of, and experience working in, a relevant manufacturing or technical industry, with a history of increasing responsibilitySubstantial relevant large-scale project management experienceIn-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniquesBias to action, with a proven ability to get things done (hands-on mentality)Proven experience delivering effective presentations to executive managementStructured, organized, and detail-oriented approach to workIndependent thinker and problem-solver, comfortable working in a changing operational environmentStrong leadership, mentoring, organizational, and communication skillsProven experience collaborating with internal and external customers, senior leadership, and project managersSufficient technical acumen to participate in engineering discussions with internal and external partiesWillingness to travel to customer, supplier, and company facility locationsStrong, highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated record of building both internal and customer relationships and rapportSound reasoning and decision-making abilityAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with minimal direct supervisionHigh proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
