Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Fast paced, small animal, three doctor veterinary hospital in Salem seeking a full-time veterinary technician/assistant. At least 2 years experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is required. Experience as a surgery assistant is preferred. We have a beautiful facility, fun and caring staff, and great clients. Candidates should be committed to quality animal care, customer service and possess strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills. Strong multi-tasking and computer skills are a must. Job includes obtaining history from clients, collecting TPR from patients, restraining for exams and procedures, collecting/running, and sending out lab samples, completing charts, taking and submitting radiographs, filling prescriptions, and some reception or animal caretaker duties as needed. Regular hours include Saturdays. Applications without cover letter will not be considered.
