Level: ExperiencedJob Location: Fort Bliss - El Paso, TXPosition Type: Full Time, ExemptDescriptionThe Airspace Information Center (AIC) Training Supervisor will supervise the trainingand certification of AIC personnel conducting operations at Biggs Army Airfield (BAAF)located at Fort Bliss, Texas. This position is eligible for the Management Bonus Pool.The Training Supervisor WillPlan, schedule, direct, and supervise the facility training of assigned AICpersonnelSupervise and conduct classroom and self-study trainingDevelop local course material, training aids, and control scenarios tosupplement and enhance the FTPEvaluate and analyze the capabilities and progress of the AIC personnelassigned to that facilityMaintain training recordsEnsure the position qualification of traineesPosition Qualify (PQ) traineesRecommend to the AIC Facility Chief those controllers who requireproficiency or remedial training. The Training Supervisor bases his/herrecommendations on both personal observations and shift leader (SL)commentsAdminister biennial written exams and conduct skill evaluationsReport to the site manager on status of trainee progressionCover down as an AIC Specialist as necessaryOther duties as assignedJob Requirements, MandatoryHave a minimum of six years of Army Air Traffic Control operationalExperiencePossess an active Secret clearance or higherMust be able to maintain a class IV flight physicalPossess ATCS certification prior to appointment2+ years prior Supervisor experienceAdditional Preferred QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsComputer savvy and proficient with Microsoft OfficePossess recent military or civilian instructor trainingPhysical DemandsRequires sitting and standing for long periods of time and may lift up to 50lbsNOTE: The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the generalnature and level of work performed by employees with this classification.
