We seek visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings, and excel in autonomous roles.Job SummaryThe Product Development Manager, Commercial Insurance will play a key role in developing, enhancing, and managing MGT's commercial P&C products. This role leads new product development, manages coverage and form updates, supports regulatory filings, and develops underwriting guidelines. You'll work cross-functionally with underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, distribution, and engineering to bring products from concept to market and continuously improve performance.This is an opportunity for an experienced underwriting or product professional who combines strong technical expertise with business judgment and is comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development & LifecycleLead the design and launch of new commercial products, forms, and coveragesManage the lifecycle of existing products to ensure competitiveness and profitabilityDevelop underwriting guidelines, eligibility criteria, and coverage specificationsPartner on product strategy, prioritization, and roadmap planningForms, Coverage & PricingDraft and maintain forms, endorsements, and coverage languageSupport pricing and rating updates with actuarialContribute to state filings, including documentation and regulator responsesCross-Functional ExecutionDrive product initiatives from concept through implementation and post-launch monitoringTranslate product requirements for system configurationPartner with underwriting, claims, and distribution to align product design with business needsCollaborate with compliance, legal, actuarial, and engineering to ensure accuracy and scalabilityRegulatory & Market AlignmentEnsure compliance with jurisdictional requirementsMonitor legislative and industry changes impacting productsPerformance & CommunicationAnalyze performance, loss trends, and competitive positioning to drive improvementsPresent insights, recommendations, and product updates to stakeholdersDevelop product documentation, training materials, and internal communicationsServe as a subject matter expert on coverage intent and product designQualificationsExperience~812 years in underwriting, product development, or commercial P&C coverageExperience developing products, forms, or pricing approachesFamiliarity with regulatory filings and compliance processesStrong market analysis and competitive intelligence skillsExperience influencing product strategy or portfolio performance is a plusEducationBachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or related fieldCPCU, ARM, AU, or similar designations are a plusSkills & CapabilitiesStrong commercial P&C underwriting and coverage knowledgeAnalytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailClear communication and ability to influence across teamsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in MS Office; Tableau or Power BI experience is a plusCompensation & BenefitsThe base salary range for this role is $160,000 $205,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
