Job SummaryJob description/Responsibilities: Full-Time (40 hours) NOC Shift - (1900 - 0730) (Fri/ Sat/ Sun) APPROXIMATE PAY RANGE: $63.46 - $80.39 POSITION SUMMARY Performs advanced practice CT scans and other interventional imaging procedures. Provides procedural care and education for patients and family members. Assists Radiologists and other specialists in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Maintains records and documentation per department protocol. ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Performs routine and emergent CT examinations in accordance with department policies, procedures, and protocols. - Performs and documents patient assessment/history related to procedures and provides patient care to meet patient's physical and psychological needs. - Assists physicians (Radiologists and other specialists) to perform image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures and prepares appropriate procedure trays, catheters, and other medical devices as necessary. - Communicates with other caregivers to ensure continuity and appropriateness of patient care. - Provides patient and family education related to imaging procedures. - Applies knowledge and safety principles to ensure patient and staff or radiation protection to achieve radiation exposures ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) for patients, self and others. - Maintains manual and computerized patient and department records respecting confidentiality. Initiates computer archive functions to store or retrieve patient information and performs associated clerical tasks as needed. - Ensures sage and pleasant environment observing applicable safety and government rules. - Performs and documents equipment QC according to department protocol, recognizes and reports any malfunctions or variations to a supervisor or department director. - Demonstrates effective communication and conflict resolution techniques with patients, coworkers, physicians, and all other health care members. - Uses supplies appropriately to minimize waste and expense. - Contributes to positive team spirit and effective teamwork for department and hospital. - Records all patient procedures/history/film identification Customer Relations: Every employee is expected to follow all policies and procedures, and Guest Relations Standards, and support and participate in programs within his/her department to maintain and monitor performance improvement.Required Qualification: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Certified Radiologic Technologist by the State (CRT) required. 2. Current BLS certificate required. 3. Sexual Harassment/ Bullying Prevention Certification required. (1 month from hire) 4. Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT. 5. ARRT Certification preferred. 6. Fluoroscopy License preferred. 7.
